New Jeep Owner From Toledo OH
Hello, Just realized there is an intro section here so figured i would say hello and give a bit of BG, more on my XJ than myself.
I Paid 2k for my 98 XJ Sport and it is the first jeep i have owned. I love it. Dealing with a few problems ATM but its worth it to me since it has under 95k miles on it and nearly no rust on the body. I have had to do some minor work to it such as re-connect the harness for the windows on the drivers door and cut a hole in the panel on the hatch to get it to open since the clasp inside came loose.
Though i have been working on my jeep nearly every day since i bought it I love it...and most of the tinkering i have done was for convenience and not function.
I havent really done any after market mods to it..yet..aside from putting some beefier tires on the rear and a stereo with the SD card reader and USB reader built in.
I have been reading through this forum since the day I bought my XJ and you guys have helped me greatly.

Thank You all for the welcome.
Yes I am from the home of the jeep which i thought would mean cheaper JY parts, no such luck, they want almost 300 for a transmission around here.

Welcome ledangel...I also just recently bought my first Jeep, a 99 XJ for 2k. The coolest coincidence is that I'm also from Toledo. I also have been through almost every thread and have worked my Jeep every day since I've gotten it. There aren't any good junkyards around here that I know of, and I've been looking to replace a couple of things that have been bothering me. Oh well.

You said you put beefier tires on the rear, I hope they're still the same size as the fronts. T-case damage will result from running different sized tires front/rear.
