Of an old jeep that is. Never owned a jeep before but I've always like the Cherokees. Used to drive them for a job I worked at.
Anyways I just bought a red '92 4 door Sport with 245k on it. Everything runs and works pretty well considering it's a 20 year old jeep. I needed a beater and also a project vehicle so I thought it would work best. Needs a little TLC but not too bad of shape. First thing I need is to replace the valve cover gasket, it's leaking oil prett bad. Then I have to degrease the engine bay. Replace the old battery and I'd assume the alternator since upon checking the OBD codes, 41 pops up which has something to do with the alternator. Might as well replace the belt while I'm there doing that. And it needs and exhaust. After all that the vehicle should pass inspection. Then the real fun begins.
Of course I almost forgot to add the picture.

Anyways just wanted to introduce myself here. Hope to learn a lot on here like I have in the past on other car forums.

change the battery first erase the codes and re scan chancer are the batter is making the alternator code come up. I have never scanned any kind or car that came up with a bad alternator with the obd scan
