Default New Jeep guy in NY.

Hello all, New to jeeps and xj's here. Im a mechanical engineering grad student in my last year at rochester institute of technology. Just got my 1999 cherokee sport over the weekend. Body's in pretty good condition, and the original owner had put a 2 or 3 inch lift on it. Guy I bought it from had just put some new tires on it. Does need alittle work and I definatly need to do some work to get it ready for winter. Mainly a heat issue where Im not getting much heat at all. Hope its not the heater core as I know from other experiences its usually a work intensive project.

Welcome to the site. I'm from the Rochester area also and I just bought an XJ a little over a week ago. I have already used this site everyday as a resource. You will find it invaluable!
