New here with $400.00 Cherokee :tank:
I just picked up a 1994 XJ for $400.00 it has 181,000 miles, but nothing wrong with it. I did have to replace the fuel pump because it has sat sense 2010 and the ethanol gummed it all up... The interior is nice no holes in any of the seats and no cracks in the dash. It is a little dusty but not bad (lmao!!!!)
Big pluses it has the high pinion dana30 front axle and 241 transfercase and I got it for $400 hahahaha!!!! I have a ford 8.8 I am about to put under it to it has a BLUE TORCH FAB Truss welded to it and it has 1/2" thick diff cover, I also have a set of Turn10 chromoly 31 spline shafts I plan on sliding in there as well...
I have plans to do the roughcountry 4.5" x-series lift part number 633xn2
http://www.roughcountry.com/catalogs...cat=0&q=633xn2
Pics to come if I can ever figure that part out!!

Jeep looks hot! I love the color haha. I gotta ask, why are you putting such a built 8.8 under it? What size tires do you plan on running? That axle is gunna be worth more than the jeep itself

I plain on running 35s or 37s with 4.88s and elocker in the 8.8 and lunchbox locker up front in the hp30 I am tied between 4.5" lift or the 6.5" lift, roughcountry has a back order on the 4.5x-series lift... And the 6.5 is long arm and the 4.5 is short arm, what do you guys think would be better with 35-37s I am leaning toward to 6.5"?
I like the color but the Texas sun has not been kind to it, it is cracking really bad all over the jeep, but I can paint it for under $400

Long arms are mint, but that dana 30 will not hold up to those tires and a locker. Have you ever seen the pinion for a dana 30 and 4.88s? It's tiny, and from the flex in the housing of the axle it will snap.
I don't think I would trust a dana 30 to 35s and a locker. Maybe if it was trussed and had a solid diff cover with 30 spline chromoly shafts, maybe.

I have heard more good about the hp30 than the old dana44 I had in my LJ rubicon the components from the inner Cs out are the same as dana30 and the Rubicon dana44 is low pinion???
I am going to run RVC axle shafts in the front too.. So they should hold up no problem :-)
