Just want to say hi and i dont have a jeep yet but i have been looking for a xj.
I test drove 2 that were were not taken care of very well.
I have 2k to play with.
I found a 1999 with 228k on it
I just want to build a daily driver with a 3-4 inch lift
I'm going more for looks. But i also want to be able to go through snow with out much trouble.
We haven't had much snow the past few years and this is my second year with a rear wheel drive cadillac cts.(going up hills with this is a PITA)
I have two other cars one of witch i pay a note on and a 99 nissan maxima that i bought a month ago just to fix and sell.(i got i for cheap)

Yeah welcome, you wanna go up hills in snow easier? Im not trying to get you away from xj's but a subby or audi will do that a bit better and with like 22 mpg instead of 12

 

i know about the Subaru. i want the xj becauce of the motor,looks and all add on accessories.
i once had a legacy that my uncle gave me, i had it for all of 20 minutes. then the police took it.

I just let the police have it.because of all the storage fees they charged it was not worth it. New Jersey i tell you.

 

Oh damn, I thought it was going to be a lil more epic lol. I got my jetta impounded for doing 130 on the freeway at like noon lol

 

the cop wrote me $1500 in tickets and said if i get the car registered and insured,come to court he would throw out all the tickets. Now it took me 5 weeks to get in touch with my cousin to get the title so i could do just that. So it sat and collect fees. In the long run it cost me $200 to get rid of $1500

 

Yeah good call on that one. When they got me I was racing an stanced accord, luckily the cop didnt see him, i couldve got a street racing charge

 

well i'm looking i'm still a few bucks short of 2k. I found a 99 that i like. The guy wants $1650 and it has 227xxx miles on it.

 

Look on Craigslist for xjs upbto like 2500 or 3000 if you show up with 2000 cash youll get it, look for low miles, and unabused.
