Hi, I'm new to the Jeep community. What I know about automotive anything could fit into a thimble. My father has been rebuilding various vehicles for 40 years. I also have a buddy who has rebuilt two different Cherokees.

A week from tomorrow, I will be buying a 1989 Jeep Cherokee 2 dr, 4.0 5 speed. It has about 165,000 miles and appears to run fine. It has a dime size rust spot behind the driver's side rear wheel well, and that's all. The frame appears fine as well. The 4x4 works, but, the vacuum lines are loose, disconnected?

It seems like a decent Jeep for $700.

Any thoughts?
