I kind of got it backwards and already posted a thread elsewhere on the forum first, but I figure I can make my intro now and not get stepped on too much. I bought my 2000 XJ in 2007 and have about 152,000 on the dial now (40,000 from me). It's riding on a 2 inch lift and 30x9.5 tires for now. The engine is somewhat stock were it not for an AFE CAI, High performance inline fuel filter, aftermarket fuel injectors from Five0Motorsports, a Magnaflow cat and Flowmaster Delta 40 muffler. Earlier this year I installed an ARB Bullbar w/IPF lights and a Warn M8000 winch up front. Most recently I installed a custom rear bumper (other thread, link to follow) https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f67/cu...ilt-sbf-88906/
I'm kind of a nut for wanting to get good MPG out of this thing and do try for that when I can (mostly on the highway/freeway). I purchased a ScanGauge II for it in 2010 (reads most of the sensors via the engine computer) and through the instant feedback of what the engine is doing (mostly watching the throttle position sensor, engine load and instant MPG), I've learned how to best drive the vehicle and manage and average 23-26 MPG at freeway speeds(it also views and clears trouble codes for when I'm messing around under the hood
).
My next mod will be going to about 5.5 inches of lift via OME springs and shocks (already purchased), JKS arms, swaybar, etc (backordered), Tom Woods driveshaft and SYE (won't order all other pieces are in as I don't have any real place to store it). I'll post a build thread when I get to that.
