New Guy From NE Ky!!
Hello Guys and Gals!!
Im Scott from Ashland Ky and Im a single dad with a 16 year old boy, Also retired from the Marine Corps. We sand drag atvs and Drag Race A 91 Mustang (my Sons car!).
I have Owned a few Xj's and ZJ's But only as Daily Drivers. Ive been seeing alot of Xj's Built into trail rigs and Im Dying to build one. We just bought a running 92 Cherokee Larado auto 4.0 HO For a hundred Bucks. It is pretty solid and has minimal rust. Not sure if the 4 wheel drive is working but I figured it would be a great start for that cheap of a price.
I also Have a buddy that has a 96 ZJ with a decent 4.0 and Auto tranny i may buy if I can find out if the drive liner parts will interchange? Ive done a search on here and cant find a thread on parts interchangability between the XJ's and the ZJ's.

Well Ive been doing some reading on this informative board and Ive learned that There are not many drive train parts that will interchange so Ill stick with just my XJ and chace down parts as I need them here on the board. This XJ I bought doesnt have a fron drive shaft so Ill find one install it and see if My tranfer case is working or my frontend has any troubles.

Welcome to CF Marine. Yes the 4.0L will swap but you don't want that ZJ auto. Mostly engine and axles are good to swap. Welcome from TEXAS.
