New guy from Indy
Hey there!
We bought our 2000 XJ Sport 4x4 back in early November 2010 and it's been great.
It's about that time to do some freshening/mild modification "while we're in there" and figured i'd join up on a Cherokee-specific forum for questions, guidance, and just to check out what others are doing.
We don't put a ton of miles on the truck (Only 8000 miles since purchase i believe), it really just gets used for grocery runs, for my fiancee to drive to and from work, trips in bad weather, and if i need to haul motors or something for any of my projects. It MAY end up towing a 2100lb race car to 1-2 events a year in the future.
At the moment i'm thinking of taking advantage of Rancho's "Shock and Awe" promotion and getting a set of RS9000XL shocks and their 2.5" lift kit for a pretty minimal investment in the end, since after 180k miles, i'd imagine my stock original suspension has just about had it. (I know the rear sags when loaded in the back.)

That is what I did. The whole suspension was shot on my 96. I got the Rubicon Express 3.5" kit with new leaf packs and Bilstein 5100's. It's not even the same Jeep anymore, it has a great ride. Totally worth every penny...

Thanks!
Oh and you're local! Might have to pick your brain sometime. I just bought the 2.5" Rancho kit with aals. Going to pick up some 9000XLs and probably some oem hd leaf packs and put the Rancho aals on that.
Nifty gif! And thank you, i love this thing. It's been kept in amazing condition, the previous owner is my Haltech dealer. Not a spec of rust anywhere!
