New guy here.
Hey guys, figure I should introduce myself. Been poking around quite a bit. I've had my '01 XJ since '03. Stock, never modded, only ever done light wheeling with it since it's our only vehicle and we cant really afford to break it.
In the process of cleaning it out, putting the head back on and all that good stuff which is what lead me here. Found some severely clogged intakes, valves not sealing up 100 percent, etc. Still had a boatload of torque. The 4.0 is a great engine.
Lots of great info here. I plan to pick up another XJ with our tax return come February, something a bit older, not quite as nice that I dont have to worry about breaking so we can finally take one into the woods.
