Default New guy here

Hello! I just bought my first Jeep and I'm looking forward to gaining a lot more knowledge from this site.

I recently purchased a 'new' 01 XJ with a 3" Rough Country lift and I freakin' love it. Yes, it has 227k miles on the original motor. I took a chance on it due to the fact that it has a brand new suspension and there is VERY little to no rust. Being that I'm in MN and most XJ's were just a shell of rusted heaps, I jumped on this vehicle immediately after I got it inspected.

The previous owner was an older guy, and if anything needed replacing, he did it. I'm keeping my fingers crossed with that kind of mileage though. I know I took a chance on the motor/head with 00-01's, but I just couldn't pass her up.

As I said before, I hope to gain a lot more information about my XJ and learn how to wrench at the same time.

Welcome.

Nice looking rig. Are those 30's or 31's on there?

28.88 - Ha, google makes being lazy easy.

I thought stock ran 215 or 225? Still very new to all of this. They came with the vehicle and ride really nice. I doubt I'll change them up.

You're probably right.....but some 31's would look just right with your 3"
lift when almost 29" ones wear out.

Good call, I might look into that then when it's time. There is still a lot of tread on these tires. Thanks!

You have a nice looking rig as well.
