New guy from Detroit
Hello everyone.
My name is Mario. I am in St Clair Shores, Mi right outside Detroit. I'm 25, have a fiance and a house, all that good stuff.
I'm a lowered FWD kind of guy with a white 93 Taurus SHO lowered with white 17" wheeks, clear corners, led tails, black interior swap, and some other mods. Also have an 04 Taurus as my DD.
New rig is a 2000 Cherokee with a 6" rough country lift. Bought it from a friend and am in the process of bringing it to 110%. Bad part is I'm 5'4 and the Jeep is crazy tall for me. I climb in and slide out.
Info on the rig.
2000 XJ sport 4x4 w/ 4.0L
93,000 miles
Black with gray interior
6" rough country lift
17" pro comp extreme wheels
33" bfg all terrains
K&N air filter
Flowmaster muffler
Optima redtop
Sylvania silverstar headlights
tinted tails, turn signals and windows
Sony cd player
3 kc lights on a grille bar
class 3 hitch
New stuff I've done to it since buying it is detail the whole thing inside and add jeep floor mats. Replace bad door lock actuators, get front speakers working and fix rear door latch.
I've also rebuilt the front and rear brakes and one of the front wheel bearings. In effort to cure death wobble I did all the front rod ends and am now replacing the shocks with a new set of rough country 9000 series.
Once I finish the suspension setup I will be doing rocker rust repair, bedlining the bottom half of the jeep, scrubbing the whole underside and undercoating it. The hood also needs painting since it looks like the paint overheated and cracked. Luckily its black so no need to blend as much. Then the final part is putting in a new windshield since mine is cracked.
no good pics of the Jeep, some of the SHO

Hey Mario, Welcome to CF. Nice SHO. A few years ago on Gratiot/696 service drive there used to be one of those that kept trying to "harass" a GLHTurbo that I had. He couldn't accept the truth. We used to sit around at the Dunkin' donuts at 12 & Gratiot at night and shoot the breeze until the cops ran us off.

Even tho I didnt live on the eastside when I was younger, I would cruise Gratiot in my previous car, Silver 95 Taurus. back then gas was cheaper and I didnt have responsibilities. My buddy did have a white 91 with black wheels around Gratiot. Might cruise up through once the jeep is all done.

It's been years since I was there & saw the crowds hanging out/racing down there. I passed by recently and the donut shop is gone.
We used to go to French road, 6 Mile, or Mound, years ago. I guess that all quit too. Yeah, that's when gas was cheap, and before I got my first Jeep.

So, today I went ahead and ordered some more parts, and had more progress on the suspension and body.
Rocker panels for both driver and pass, new black lug nuts, and exact fit trunk liner.
I finished reinstalling all the rcx 9000 series shocks with new hardware all around. and checked for any other play around the suspension/steering. everything appears to be good and tight now, but wont know if the wobble is gone until I drive it next week.
I bedlinered the rear bumper, and undercoated most of the underside. Need more cans of each. waiting on the new rockers to cut out rust, and weld in the new units, then bedliner the new units along with fender flares and sides of the rear bumper. I don't want to run wider flares just yet, so that will protect those areas from rocks and debris.
still need to rewire and fix the kc driving lights.
