Default New guy checkin in.

So here is a couple pics of the 88 XJ I recently acquired. What you see is basically what I got. I did a little to it before I took the pics.

I picked it up for $1200 thinking I got a good deal. There has been a few issues to date that I have had to fix though. The upper links were bolted to the axle with a 3/8 grade 5 bolt, the rear brake shoes were so worn out there were no pads, and the front spider gears were stripped. A little about it is 8" lift, 35x15 tires, 4.10 gears, 4l w/manual tranny. My plans right now is a long arm kit or 4 linked front and rear, full cage, relocate the fuel tank, batteries, and radiator to the bed. Also full width axles, 350 or 4.3l chevy v6 w/auto tranny swap, and a set of 37in tires.

Here is a pic of my DD. I know not a jeep.

I like the jeep, too many lights bunched together for me. Youd spend 1200 just on the 8 inches. so its a deal. Frowning on the chevy though, even though I drive one.

Awesome Jeep, and awesome Chevy. I like them both. The Jeep is kinda what I want mine to look like.

I hear ya on the lights. There are a couple coming off. The bar was off my old work truck, and I wanted to be able to see. I am thinking of 4 forward and 2 rear on a roof rack.
