New guy about to buy first Cherokee
Greetings Cherokee Forum! I'm about to enter the world of the Jeep Cherokee. After a summer long battle to get a Land Rover, I've decided to take the cheap and fun route. I doubt I'll regret this decision. Got a couple of questions about the Cherokee though.
- Are stock Cherokees any good off road?
- How much do brush guards and those basket like roof racks usually go for?

Welcome to CF!
I wouldn't waste your money on a brushguard unless you can find one for less than $150 used. They don't really do much besides protect the front end from deer. I have one
As far as the roof racks, I have seen them go for $100 used to over $500 new. Here is a good link for a cheap new one:

It was $160 when I bought mine, they seem to have gone up to $180. Good rack. It will cover about 2/3 of the roof.
