Hey everybody! Obviously I'm a new guy here, and fairly new to Jeeps. I've been through just about every other 4x4 out there, and decided it's about time to come around to the Jeep.

I've been through Land Rovers, Chevy, Mitsubishi, you name it. All but Jeep.

On to the rig. It's a 1991 XJ, VERY basic. 4x4, obviously. All stock, with the 4.0L in it. I bought it with 196k on the clock with these stupid little rims for $1500. The thing runs like a sewing machine, and it's all stock. The only "issues" with it are the following:

While driving, whenever I take my foot off the gas, and also when I initially get on the gas, there's a single clank, like something drivetrain oriented is loose.

The other "issue" is a minor oil leak. She burns a little oil (not through the exhaust) and after I drive it there's a few drops on the ground. From what I've heard its just an oil pan gasket. Other than that, everything is good.

I need to swap wheels and tires out, it's got some sort of "urban" thing going on. 18" chrome rims, and low profile tires. Really!?!? I tried pulling my 5 lugs off of my 91 S10 Blazer to try to fit it, but for some reason (it could be due to lack of sleep ....) they wouldn't fit. Is it because the rotors are actually different sizes? It seemed that the inside of the rim would rub on the top of the brake caliper ... or maybe because it was 1230 in the morning after I got it home ... this morning I realized that because we use a 5x4.5" lug pattern ... and my Blaze uses a 5x5.5". Always an inch too short ... story of my life ...
