I'm in Vale, NC (about an hour outside Charlotte), I haven't actually gotten a Cherokee yet 
I'm currently looking for an XJ and found a nice 4 cyl 5 speed on craigslist, from what I hear, they are just a tough as the 4.0, but is it really worth sacrificing the power that the 4.0 puts out?

I've read lots of people saying the 4-cyl is an underpowered boat anchor, and they wish they'd held out for the 4.0L I6. Or how can they do the swap?
