Talking New To The Forum And To XJ's

Hey everyone, my wife and I just bought our first project car. What better way then to start with a bone stock $600 Cherokee! I had an 87 Wrangler in high school that was a complete pile.. Huge piece of.. You get it. My wife however had an XJ in college and she loved the thing. 4.0, manual, +300k and she loved it. So, happy wife, happy life right? Proud owners of a "new" Cherokee.

It has 292,000 miles, trany was replaced about 90k ago. Definitely needs some work before I start with the custom stuff. There is an oil leak that I cannot figure out where it's coming from, the right side springs are dang near collapsed, front diff chain clings and clangs, there is a crazy loud whining noise that sounds like a vacuum leak, O2 sensors are throwing codes and I'm pretty sure the idle air needs to be replaced. Other than that it runs and drives pretty dang good for the amount of miles it has.

Any advice is greatly encouraged and appreciated. Looking forward to some fun times

Valve cover gasket was on the hitlist but the adapter o-ring was not, thanks for the heads up!
