Proud new owner of a 2000 Cherokee sport here, first jeep. 135k miles and got a pretty smokin deal on her. Anyone familiar with the distributorless ignition system? I dont really see it as a good or bad thing, but was looking for some feedback from experienced owners. Also, any ideas where I can find an owners manual? The dealer did not have it...bums. Thanks!

Instead of a distributor cap there is a plate that has 3 coil packs. Two cylinders fire at a time, (not sure of the order). That is really all I know about it as it is fairly new to me as well!

Yep and the coils have a potential to last longer, since they don't fire as much as the one coil on an ignition system with a distributor
