New to Forum
Howdy,
I'm new to the forum here, but not to 4wheeling. Just sold my 4Runner last year because it was so specialized it was a PITA to drive. I went from lifted, locked, and powerful to a kind of mild XJ. I've had the XJ for years and used it more for camping and hunting than my 4Runner so thought I'd just keep it to where I could do some of the mid-range stuff, but keep it more comfortable to drive.
I have a 90 XJ Limited with around 4.5" of lift. I've replaced the 242 with a JB Conversions SYE'd 231 and added TJ Canyon's and 31" BFG KM2s. It is running the stock axles with a non-disco 30 up front and LSD'd 35 in the rear. I threw the rear sway bar away and added RE Gen 1 Disco's up front. I have a Warn M9000 up front for when it's needed. I'm running LeBarron hood vents and a completely rebuilt cooling system. Wish I'd gone to the new version of the cooling system when I did that, but I don't have cooling problems, so it is all good. For communications I run a Kenwood dual band amateur radio and am getting ready to install my CB. I have custom front and rear bumpers as well as sliders for protection, but still need to add frame stiffeners and a rear tire rack. I do plan on changing the rear axle and adding the larger u-joint front shafts, but probably not much more than that. I may add an ARB or two in the future, but not for now.
So far, I like the site. There are a couple of members here who know me, and a bunch of nice rigs.
Mike

Ok, a few teasers of the Yota.
When I sold it, it had more lift, larger tires, and different rims. The rims that are in the first photo. Man it was fast, but it only got 8mpg
