Default New to the forum....

And still learning Jeeps after all these years and a few different models, mostly YJ's and a WJ. My 2001 Cherokee is my first XJ and I have to say I love this thing! She's still stock, but not for long, the RE 3.5 Superflex kit should be at my front door tomorrow. Tires as soon as I find some priced right. Still debating on whether or not I should get rid of the 16's and get 15's or just keep the rims I have.
I decided I should join the forum since I constantly use the info that I get from all the knowledgeable poster's....and get to know some of the people around here. Hopefully some that live near me (NorCal Fresno area). Tired of moving around every three years....can't wait until I retire (810 days.....woohoo!) so the fam and I can finally settle down and make permanent roots up in the New England area.
I'll post a pic of the XJ as soon as I can. Looking forward to seeing everyone around the forum!

Good question about the wheels! I decided to go with some 17" moabs and I love them. I want to go to 18's off the newer JK's even though i'm sure i'll get flamed in here for it. You gonna go with a 32" tire?

No, I'm going to go with 33's. Well, 285/75/16's....depending on the manufacture the diameter varies. I opted to keep my icons for now....maybe when the time comes for 35's I'll swap rims.

And yeah, you'll probably catch hell for running 18's on a Cherokee! Unless of course you put 36's or 37's on them.

Just ordered my new tires today, pick 'em up Friday. Maybe I should start a build thread. Thoughts?

I know what you mean. I bought mine on the Florida coast, she's got a bit of surface rust here and there. Along with tackling those issues I plan on gutting the interior, installing all new (used?) seats that are more comfortable for the wife and kids and putting in new carpet. Also want to fab some bumpers and a roof rack. I already have the lift and flares sitting in the garage, but working 80+ hours a week is kinda putting a damper on my personal life! Hopefully next weekend I should be able to get it installed, along with the tires.

Build threads are always great to have even if just for your own documentation of when stuff got done. So I say do it
