Hey everyone. I'm brand new to this forum and to Jeeps in general. Recently moved to Colorado from Iowa and needed a second vehicle for winter and the mountains, so I picked up a 2001 Cherokee of Craigslist.
I don't have any pictures handy, but I'll add some soon.
It's silver with ~156,000 miles on the clock. It'll need a front bumper (quite rusted) and the mechanic gave me a short list of minor items that will need future attention, but for right now it's good to go! It will be sitting outside at my house, and so far it's fired up like a champ every morning. I've read a lot about the legend of the 4.0 I6. Curious to see how it'll do in my first snowy drive to work, but I'm confident it'll do fantastic. Very satisfied so far with how it drives.
It's 100% stock right now except for a stereo head unit. I don't plan to do much to it but in the future I could envision a mild lift, an exhaust (maybe...just something for some personality), some exterior lights, preemptively replacing the 0331 head (haven't checked for sure but I can't imagine the previous owner would have done it already), better speakers, and a nice roof rack. But for now I just need it to be reliable and capable, things that my E46 hasn't been lately... just like sports the best ability is availability.
Hope to learn a lot about my new vehicle from this forum!
