i recently replaced the front brake pads on my 99 cherokee sport--- seemed fine for a few days ,then it felt as though the brakes were on slightly, didn't want to shift properly. any suggestions? thanks?

check the caliper slides to make sure they are free and not sticking, if they are ok then i would suggest replacing the caliper. inside the caliper is a square cut ring that pulls the piston back slightly when u let off the brake pedal. calipers are super easy to rebuild if you can find a kit but for the price a new one is pretty easy to come by. im assuming its one of those two things. if it was fine just the other day. drive it for a few minutes and get out and feel the fron wheels near the hubs, they shouldnt be too hot. if they or one of them is then your brakes are most likely sticking.
