I currently own a Colorado but am looking to get an XJ. I don't know a lot about them but do know they have serious potential. I have a buddy that is a big jeep fan and we are planning on building his WJ when he returns from Afghanistan. I'm currently looking around my area in NC but not sure what I should look for when looking at them or what is a good price range for them. Here is a link to the one jeep I'm currently looking at. Any feed back would be great.

Welcome to our forum!!
I think that isn't a bad price, considering the miles. Be careful, though, as those years have head issues. However, don't let that deter you in any way.

Yeah I have a buddy that knows a lot more than I do about jeeps but he's deployed. So I'm having to do this solo for now. There are several around here but that one seemed the best of what I've seen. There is one that isn't online near the base, it's a 99 for 3900. I haven't looked at it yet so don't know what all it has or it's mileage. I plan on looking at it tomorrow though.

Yeah I know. I was planning on doing a SAS on my colorado but it would be way to expensive and can buy a nice jeep cheap and build it much cheaper. Plus there are so many more aftermarket parts for jeeps than the 355's. If you wanna do anything with them you have to fab it yourself. Are you on the Nation?

Welcome to the family. And that is a good price. I have one just like that paying 9,000 from a car lot. Lol only paid 600 for my 89 and she runs like a new one

It's a forum for colorado/canyons. That's what I'm currently driving. Zj Heep said that he has a colorado also and I was just wondering if he was on the forum for 355's.

Welcome to the forum! I'll leave the specific advice to the more experienced folks, but you won't be disappointed if you get an XJ.
