Default new with 97 grand cherokee

i've been researching and scouring craigslist for the past month or so looking for a good winter car. i'm in northeast pennsylvania and drove a miata last year through winter. it was horrible. so i picked up a 4x4 97 grand cherokee v8. it's literally the opposite of my miata - spacious, leather, power everything, roomy...

so i'll be around looking at lots of threads and reading up on things like fixing heated seats, fixing abs light and anything else that might arise.

should i look out for anything in particular?
small oil drip when the car first starts (yes i have one, don't we all?)

jeep has 137k on the clock and it came with the owner's manual. i have a hard time believing i'm going to leave oil in for 7500 miles per the manual's instructions. i have no idea about any kind of maintenance that was done prior to me getting the car, so i'll probably flush coolant soon as well.

My wife had a zj like that but no leather. It was great until it had some electrical issues buy They eventually got worked out. I don't think I'd go 7500 miles either. It looks like its clean and the mileage isn't too bad either. Good looking ride!
