Default New 96 Country...western PA

Whats up all? Just got the wife and I a 96 Cherokee Country. Its in great shape. No rust anywhere. Engine pures, auto tranny shifts perfect, and it lookes great. Had to get an auto cuz the wife isnt to great with a stick shift. But o well. Picked it up for $2900 with 145k on it. Everything on the jeep is in great shape. Interior is super clean. Its been snowing here so this was a good buy for us. Feel good about the wife driving by her self now. She loves it. Its really her car to drive...I drive my wonderful 93 Geo Metro XFi. Its awesome. 5 speed of course. Averaging 40+ miles to the gallon right now. Which is great cuz I drive over 60 miles a day to work then back. Its nice having one car with great gas mileage then another with not so great. Our first tank on the Country was 15.8 mpg. Going to buy new plugs, wires, do an oil change, tranny drain and fill, and swap out the gear oil all real soon. The first thing I did was flush the power steering fluid cuz the pump would whine a tiny bit on left turns. Now its fine. Thank goodness. I work at a Toyota shop so I have access to a tone of nice tools and machines. Which make working on my cars a breeze. Not to mention all the techs there who have a huge knowledge of cars. Any ways....wanted to so HI! and ill be on here often. I find these forums very helpfull.

I do have a question though....what kind of fluids do you all use?
Oil?
Tranny(auto)?
Gear oil?

I want to see what you guys use or what you have found to be some pretty good stuff. The owner I bought the Country off of used Castrol oil. But he owned it for only a year and never swapped any other fluid. so before I do so I would like to know what to stay away from and what works the best. Any info would be great. Thanks!!

Good Looking Country. I prefer Castrol GTX for oil, myself.
