My attempt at a build thread
Ok. So here it goes. I've been around here and ive had my jeep for over a year now and my much has been done besides makeup her road worthy. Just recently the block and head cracked (0331). It's a 2000 sport. As of now there is no lift (coming in the spring, 3 inches) but I'm rocking 31s.
I have a snapped read u bolt that's getting replaced soon (doing this myself with padre's help) and we are also installing rustys tow hooks as I'm not getting a nice, fancy winch bumper anytime soon.
Anyways. A little about me. My name is Lake and I'm still in good ole school, so not a very large budget. I am one o about 5 jeeps at my school and the only Cherokee. This is going the be mostly a build thread, but comments and advice is tolerated and I don't care if you people wanna talk to each other in this thread (I promise I wot be mad).
Back on topic. I installed harbor freight aux lights in the front. Got them on sale for $20 and they are brighter than my new headlights.
Future plans:
3" lift
Winch
Winch bumper with stinger
Doorless
Roof basket
Light bar on roof
Snorkel
Hood vents
Skid plates
And pics will come when I get a chance.

Build it!
Good looking XJ, I am making mine my own also. It is fun to find out what you want to do with it as you wheel it, things that you want to do will just snow ball as you determine just how crazy you want to get with it.

And you can't see it from the pics, but I put two aux lights on the stock bumper. They are from harbor freight and I got them for $20 and they held up for over a year and still going. They are my brightest lights on the jeep.

Money?
I have a few ideas is like to do, but I'm not working over the winter as I work at a golf course. So when spring finally comes around there will be more jeep money.
