Meet Me and Emmett - '95 ZJ
Howdy and stuff. Just got my first Jeep a couple weeks ago. It's a '95 ZJ Laredo with the 318 Magnum.
Paid $2800 for him. 219k miles, but only 60k miles on a rebuilt engine and 45k miles on a rebuilt transmission. 2.25" BB lift kit and new 30" all seasons on it. Came with some Goodyear Wrangler 31" tires on another set of rims. Lot's a miles, but at least one more winter is left in them.
It's got some issues; Waterpump gasket is leaking (see that wet "line" on the driveway?) and I think the idler pulley is going out, rear hatch doesn't wanna open (but I found a good fix on these very forums) and over all, the entire thing is filled with dust. It was a farmer's kid's truck and saw 10k+ miles a year on dirt roads for 5 years.
Been washing and vacuming, reconditioning the leather seats, lot's of little things to keep me busy.
One of the weird things that has me scratching my head... The headlights just sit in the grill. There's no hardware holding them in alignment. Makes me wonder if it's been in an accident recently.
Doesn't matter though. I'm in love. And I can tell it's gonna be life long.
