Just Got my first Jeep
Hello
I am the proud new owner of a 96 Cherokee country. My friend was the recipient of a DWI last year and his XJ was just sitting in the drive. He informed me that his mom felt that because had been hit in the passenger side front fender it was not worth keeping. He then told me she intended to scrap it because it was in her mind far beyond repair. When he told me she was getting $150 from the scrap yard I knew I had to do something. Yes I got it for $150 on the spot. Even better after sitting all i had to do was put some fresh gas in and give it a jump. Drove the little guy home. The next day went to a salvage yard and pulled a matching fender.
I am new to the jeep scene and would love to have the support anyone who can help me. I am on a very very tight budget. I have already got a RC 3" lift. Now im looking for someone to help me with a lower control arm mount. It has been smashed at some point in time and need a new one. I have seen the heavy duty ones, but i was wondering if there is anyone who could possible fab one up for me?

I also just bought a 96 xj about a month ago It was pretty cheap also. It was wrecked. I have been noticeing that 96 is kind of an odd ball year, or something like that. Parts seem to be group into three dif years, 96 97 98. I can find more parts for the 97 98 than the 96. Most parts are ok just certain types like full length headers for eaxample. WELCOME, glad to hear of another xj owner. Sorry I'm not able to answer any of your ?
