Hi everybody,

I just purchased an '85 2 door XJ, and will be lifting and building it up over the summer. I wonder if there are any others on here from waaay up in northern California.
When I was researching lifts / tires / pretty much everything, this site seemed like a good resource to get ideas and tips.
Hopefully Y'all can watch my jeep grow.

Kyle in Humboldt

By the way, there are so many options for lift kits and tires, and I was wondering if people have any tips on what the first height I should go up to should be? I know this is mostly opinion based, but there are a lot of experienced people on here with opinions I would trust. I was thinking 3.5" with 32's...

Hi and welcome from PA. That sounds like a good plan. I would suggest the rough country or rubicon express 3.5 kits. Its really up to you but look into those two. Also, go with full spring packs in the rear NOT add a leafs and you will be much happier. Good luck, can't wait to see the jeep!
