Jeep noob!
So I picked up my 01 Cherokee about a year ago with hopes of putting on a lift and new tires. A month later my brakes went out and a few months after that my engine. So now, with a new(er) engine, new brakes, and a handful of other odds and ends, I'm finally ready to start the mods!
Despite having my Jeep for a year now, I am still completely and utterly lost to what anything means in terms of modifications. Basically, I will need new tires soon to pass inspection so I want to run Firestone destination m/t's. If I'm not mistaken the 31's don't quite fit on a stock cherokee like mine. So I figure I'll spend the buck and put on the 3" lift kit made by Rusty's. I don't have a lot of money as I am a poor college student so that kit seemed to be the best option.
My question though- is it really as simple as buying a lift kit (it includes
Front 3" coil springs
• Rear 3" full length add-a-leaf
• Front hydro performance shocks
• Rear hydro performance shocks
• Rear brake line extension kit
• Grade 8 U-Bolts
And then after that run the 31" Destination M/T's on my stock rims. Keep in mind that this is my daily driver and I don't plan on hitting any trails every weekend...
So sorry for being such a noob. HELP!
