I'm a Noob!
Over the weekend I made a deal for a '99 Grand Cherokee Laredo for my daughter, who lives near the end of a narrow road that gets kinda iffy in the winter.
It's not perfect, but there isn't really anything I can't fix, even though I have questions.
1 - Bad lifter, pushrod, or loose rocker. That doesn't worry me much. Soon as I pop the valve cover I'll know what I need to do. With luck, it's something I can fix with Sea Foam or Dexron.
2 - Driver's seat has a list to the starboard (Okay, it leans to the right!). Nothing much, but enough to notice.
3 - It has manual seats, and for some reason the previous owner has fastened the driver's seat in place with a hose clamp. Either he didn't want somebody readjusting the seat, or there is something wrong with the track.
If any of you have some ideas for me, I'd appreciate it, and if need be, I can move the discussion to the appropriate forum.
I personally have never owned a Jeep, though about fifty years ago, when I was a wee lad, I used to draw them all the time, with a black crayon. I'm kind of tickled about getting this one for my girl, because it's generally in god shape. I'll post a picture when I can.
