Hi everybody,
I've recently bought my first Jeep, an xj from 1999 with the 2.5 diesel engine, very happy with it and where I live (Norway) the "bad" conditions to test the car are not missing...snow, mud and mountains are just outside the door
I am already experiencing some small issues (dash lights and a/c switch) that I'm trying to fix myself. Last year I have worked as a mechanic in a Land Rover ( shame on me) workshop, and it's because of that that I wanted so much a Jeep

Hi ehall, my car comes from Bergen! Nice town, but it's the most rainy place in Norway. You should visit the fjords pearl, Ålesund

 

XJ's are prone to rust as well, depending on the area. I live in the South so rust is typically not an issue but places that put down salt produce a lot of rotten floor boards and frozen nuts.
