Hi all!
Thought I would drop in here and say hi. Names Carl, and I just picked up an 85 Cherokee Chief with a 2.5/5 spd. Looking at doing a 3" lift and putting 31's on it. Then hitting the trail!

Welcome to the forum man, lets see some pics of that rig. I recomend saving a little bit more and getting a 4.5" lift. If you go 3" you'll be looking to upgrade it with in a year, trust me. Good luck with the build.

Thanks for the warm welcome. I am trying to get on the trail cheap...and 4.5" is going to take even longer to save up for...and I'm itching to get out there!

Welcome from OK! I started with 3" too and now I am at 4.5" less than a year later. You can always add a budget boost to that 3". Glad to have you here!
