By the way, I just got my Cherokee and even when the rig isn't in the best shape I think it has potential to become a good rig. It has a goods engine, tranny and the frame and suspension are straight - no rust either-
It has little things like the front sway bar nees to be replaced, which by the way, I know that the ZJ conversion for TJs is very common. Do you guys know if it works as easy and well for XJs too?
I am also looking at getting a set of 32s because mine are getting pretty bold.

J.C. My closest 4wheeling place is Walker Valley ORV area just outside of Mt. Vernon, Wa. The place has mostly bike and quad trails but it has a couple of really good Jeep trails as well. I grew up in Chehalis, though. Just an hour north of you. There are 2 places near my home town that I have heard great trail reports about. Evans Creek and Elbe Hills. Both are in the foothills around Mt. Ranier. So, I have to ask you a question...since you live in Vancouver, do you wheel the Tillamook State Forest area in Oregon? I have wanted to wheel that place for years but, I need a fellow XJ owner to show me where the good trails are.

It sounds like some fun wheeling around your area.
yes, absolutely! I go to Tillamock all the time.
The trails are nice, even though most of them are for ATVs rather than Jeeps, but you can still find wuite a few good ones. They are anywhere from super easy to what they call "extreme dificult", and believe me, some of those truly are. I typically hookup with a few buddies from a Jeep forum (links4jeeps) when I go. The snow runs are awesome and when you don't have the proper set up for certain trail it is still fun to watch the guys who are.
Sometime this week I will post some pics from our last trip which was just last weekend. I have seen also quite a few NAXJA guys around there too.

Just let me know when you want to go and we'll make it happen or I'll let you know the next time that we go to see if you want to tag along.

Here are the pics from last weekend. We had a mid size group, but it was very busy, we found along the way at least 5 more groups.
I saw just about everything, anywhere from Samurais, TJs, XJs to Land Rovers and even a Mercedes Unimog.
