Hi
Just got my first Jeep; '98 Cherolee classic, 4.0 liter, auto.
Had a '95 Toyota 4Runner that I bought as my communter/beater ride thinking "Toyota quality". A year later and a blown engine...come to find out the 3.0 V6 bites and even had head gasket recall issues.
Did a little more front end research this time and was drawn the the Cherokee and its reliable 4.0 in-line 6. Found a pretty clean one with lots of miles - 220K, but running well, for $2700. Plan to put a little money into it each year and cherry it out as I go.
This forum looks good and I hope to learn a lot from it that can help me prioritize what I do and how I do it.

Welcome to CF from Buck in Western Washington. I made the same move about 5 years ago, Brother. Sold what was left of my 85 4Runner and bought my 91 XJ Sport. Best move I've ever made. Post some pic of your new rig.
