hi
Allright I have been lurking here for a while but didn't post much. I think I have been posting enough that I should make a formal introduction...
I just bought a 01 cherokee to replace my beloved Suzuki Sidekick. I originally don't have the love-in-the-first-slight to the cherokee, but I pick it based on my needed:
- able to haul my trailer (at least 2500lbs capibility )
- a good camping vehicle
- able to haul my soon-to-be new born (5 passenger car with enough storage for stroller)
- new enough to be relatively reliable as a dd
- old enough not to care about scratch / door dent / kids pee/poop/vomit/food
- has a big enough trunk to haul stuffs from homo depot, or garage sales
- have a better survival rate then my rwd dd in the winter
- has the potential off-road cabibility... (not that I am going to wheel it in my current stage of life but its always nice to have the potential for the future.)
- relatively good gas mileage without compomising above requirement
I narrow it down to the cherokee, Grand cherokee, and the xterra. I end up picking the XJ/ZJ because I have a soft spot for sfa, which was the weak point of my old Sidekick. so... I end up with the cool XJ!
Still in the stage trying to resolve all little problems and this forum has been helping a lot!
