Hey from DFW
Hey all, I've been a member here for a while just never posted. This site has been very useful thus far. I bought my first jeep, a 2000 Sport back in October of last year. Since then I've done some mods as well as repairs with the help of all the excellent write-ups on this site (rear main seal, front pinion seal, injector upgrade, cowl intake/snorkel, hood vents, and all new u-joints in a junkyard front driveshaft because my slip-n-stub was worn out.)
I bought the jeep with what I'm told is a 4 1/2" Rough Country lift, 31x10.5 Mickey Thompson Baja TTC's on alloy wheels (quickly replaced with black steelies), custom front and rear bumpers and a winch. The winch wouldn't winch in, only out so I just switched the solenoids around so it will now winch in and not out. I'll get around to ordering a new solenoid one of these days. One of the first things I did was put in a BT headunit, I thought I could make it with a tape deck adapter-I forgot how terrible the sound quality of those things were. I then made my own sub box which replaced the spare tire (going for incognito to prevent theft.) I'm hoping to get a friend to help me fab up a swing away tire carrier for the rear. The PO just unbolted the brakelines from the fenderwell so extended brakelines ft and rr are on my to-do list as is an SYE kit/driveshaft and discos for the front. Anyway, enough rambling, here's some pics.
The day I got it

It sounds really good, now I just need to upgrade the door and headliner speakers, they can't quite hang. I don't have any pics of the actual building of the box, but I've got a few before carpet. I'll post 'em when I get home. It's a 10" Alpine Type S with 500W to it.

PurpleToxin505, here are a couple more shots of the box. The tire cover fits over it and doesn't really affect the sound. If I'm blasting it loudly for a while I've got to take it off 'cause the amp starts getting hot.
Checked out your build thread. Sounds like you've got pretty much the same set up as me. I was told the lift was 4 1/2 when I bought it but later found out it's actually 3". I just added discos a couple of days ago.
I'll be in the market for new tires pretty soon, how do you like yours?
