Just wanted to say hello. I'm a new member but I"ve been reading this forum every day at work for a while now. I'm from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan but i'm stationed at Barksdale AFB in LA. I am currently without an xj, but I am actively searching for a cheap starter rig since i have nothing to wrench on in my garage. I had a zj for 6 years before I left for the AF and I can't wait to get an xj so I can tear up my buddy's yj in the mud

Small world eh? My parents have a camp on pike lake outside of Newberry and I grew up in Munising about an hour east of Marquette. I miss wheeling on all the snowmobile trails up there, there's no public land down here, at least not that I can find. I can't wait to get a solid rust free rig built down here so I can take it home one summer and get dirty looks from all my friends when they can't find holes in my floors and rockers

 

Oh my god I'd freak lol. My jeep is to the point where I think the rockers are gonna fall off one of these days if I hit a bump right or slam the door and don't get me started on the holes in the floor lmao
