Hi all!
I just bought a 1995 cherokee country with 218k miles. It's in great shape for the year and mileage. I bought it for my DD and to have a bit of offroad fun. I have been driving my 2006 corvette convertible daily since I totaled my husband's trailblazer SS in Jan 2009 and I just needed/wanted something to get the vette off the road every day. I owned a 96 cherokee a while back and loved it so I wanted another one.
I want to get out in the woods with it! The engine runs good and everything seems ok except today it started overheating and it turns out that there is a puddle of anti freeze in the driveway where I left it parked last night.
I bought this from a member of a local motorcycle forum that I frequent so I took his word for everything he said about it. I sure hope I didn't make a mistake.
My hubby is the manager of auto zone so he's gonna buy a new thermostat and gasket for it today and hopefully that will take care of it. He'll flush it all out tonight too. Cross your fingers that that's all it needs! I really love it already! I've so missed having a toy to take offroad!
About me: I work at a large local credit union as VP member services. In short, I'm over all of our branches and responsible for the entire retail operation. blah blah blah.......
Mainly I just enjoy life! I have a 2008 GSXR 750 that I absolutely LOVE! I am addicted to riding so the jeep will probably be a secondary hobby to that.
I have 2 siberian huskies and a rat terrier that are my babies, along with one cat that can beat up all of the dogs!
I'm just an easy going person that enjoys life and being around friends.
Oh, and recently I've really gotten into weaving! That's probably weird for all you guys, but it's really fun! Let me know if you need a scarf or sumpin!
So...............HI YA'LL!!!

hi!
meh, he had a 1970 that he did a frame off restoration on. He put a whatever whatever engine in it that dyno'd at 718 hp. He wrecked it and totaled it. Now I have a 2008 gixxer 750 and he has a 2008 hayabusa with part of the insurance check!
(and our insurance company hates us after him totalling a $70k vette and me totalling an 06 Trailblazer SS.
...just one more reason to have older vehicles that are paid for and only need liability insurance!)
I have been thinking about selling the vette...............
Oh, and when you said CF I automatically thought "corveteforum." I don't even open that forum anymore!

OMG! I've seen so many people drop their bikes in the parking lot there at the store! My 08 gix 750 is my favorite bike ever! I've been riding for 20ish years and have owned tons of bikes but the gixxer is the BEST! And it RAWKS at the gap!

us nooobs have to stick together! plus another rider GSXR! at that, and i have a new best friend.. on CF anyway. lol
not to hijak your thread- too badly, heh but heres a shot at the gap on my '06. Like you said, it performed flawlessly there.

if you look real close, those are 30day tags haha. i scored it for $8100 off the showroom floor the week prior. put 1000 miles on it real quick in that week to break it in, and then GAPd it hard. The stock bricks it came with were very confidence inspiring as they held even when i came into corners too hard and expected some push. I also took it to the dragstrip and a road course all within a year, but then decided on selling it as i wanted to move onto something different from these rockets that were starting to liter the area. I never really got over that weird bump angle that stuk out into my chest right behind the gas filler.
Im on a custom fighter SV now, but if/when i get another GSXR, i'll be going back to the K3 models.
It was my '02 that i wrecked there, warming up tires in the lot the very first night

so there was no way i was going to ride it in the pitch black, for the first time, with no front brakes. luckily, the group i was with included cars and bikes, so i rode out shotgun in a S2000, and then on the way back, rode my girl friends 06 750! lol
ahhhh good times
