Hi Everyone. Looking for a Cherokee for playing in the desert and to tow behind my motorhome. I definitely think the 4 doors will be nice. The np242 transfer case seems to be popular but havent found one yet. Search more around my area tomorrow. Will be looking at a 1999 tomorrow and just looked at a 2001 today and fortunately read the thread on 00-01 'cracked heads'. Nice ones around here command big prices. 180,000+ miles about 4 to 5k, low mileage in the 80's are 10,000 + Yikes!

Welcome from 2 hours north of you! You will find a Cherokee eventually. My buddy actually drove down to SD to get his. Its a 94 with 170K miles for $800. I got my 99 with 155K on it for $1100 but was 2wd. Dont let the crazy prices out here fool you. Keep searching and you will find a winner! One word of advise, if you find one for a decent price, do not wait to go look at it. They normally sell within a day or two.
