Hello from NY
Hi all,
New to the forum after lurking for a while now. I'm on the hunt to buy my first Jeep. I've been a sports car guy forever (curently have a B8.5 Audi S4) and now that I moved from North Carolina up to New York I need something 4x4 for the winters. I graduated from Virginia Tech last year and a bunch of my buddies had jeeps and I lent a hand modifying, fixing and wheeling theirs so I'm somewhat familiar with Jeeps.
I'm currently searching for a 1998-2001 Cherokee XJ to be my winter warrior and be built up into a project along the way. I'm willing to travel all over the east coast to find one with no rust or rot on it and relatively low miles (160k or less).
Thanks!

Welcome XJ. Fine looking S4 you have for a daily driver. I drive an older A4 Cabrio. Just last month I found a rust-free '99 Cherokee Sport for winter. The good folks here are a vast wealth of knowledge and gladly help us newbies learn about these great Jeeps (provided we help ourselves a bit).

This community does seem very helpful and nice. I've already been reading around a ton trying to learn as much as possible!
