Default Hello from Michigan!

Hey guys, I joined this forum today because I recently purchased a project Cherokee. It's a 1991 Laredo Jeep Cherokee that came with 177K miles, a 4in Rancho lift, brand new 31in tires, 4wd, and a couple of offroad cheap lights.
I paid $400 bucks for it and it runs and drives. I have a long list of stuff I need to fix in it, heres the main issues:
-Driverside floor pans are rusted through a lot and passenger side a little bit, need to patch that (it's all decently rusty)
-Fuel tank leaks, need to get a new one
-Rear brake lights don't work
-Front left CV joint is bent (will replace both)

There's probably 15 other things I didn't mention because they don't affect the safety of the vehicle too much.

Going to have a lot of fun and work ahead of me!

Funny thing, I was just out at U-Pull-and-Save in Mason and was able to get all the parts I needed. What did you need? I needed a rear window, gate shocks, some mirrors, and a fuel tank along with some small trinkets here and there.

I got the over head counsel out of one. Fog light switch out of another. Blower resistor(but it was bad) and two nuts that hold the rear wiper motor in. Both broke off just like mine and I ended using torch to melt aluminum out of the steel nut. I hate that place they charge a dollar just to go in even if you don't get anything. I also got a pair of really nasty oil soaked rear floor mates. Anybody run in to a right front door(4 door)let me know.

Sounds a good score to me, congrats! You'll get good tips here to keep her in good condition.

Default Try again

Well I have posted before but never introduced myself. I'm from Lansing and have been into four wheeling for years. My first four wheeler and my first brand new car was a 1970 Blazer. I have owned and raced CJ2As, CJ3Bs, M5, CJ5s. I also owned a 1988 Comanche I bought from Texas. It had been under salt water for three days and was a electrical nightmare. I didn't know what I had till it was gone and I've been kicking myself ever since. I just perched a loaded 1991 Cherokee Laredo. So far all I have done is make it safe to drive and get everything except the air working. My days of getting stuck where I had to crawl out the window to get out are over. I'm just going to put a three inch lift with 31x10.50 tires. So I can chase my bird dogs. I'm not sure about posting pictures that's why I said try again I've lost this post twice trying to post pictures. I guess you can check new ride under my photos.
