I decided to finally make an account here after lurking the interwebz for the last month or so. My name is Brian and I'm an engineering intern at a civil engineering firm here in Las Vegas. I graduated from UNLV with a B.S. in civil engineering in 2013.
But I'm here for the XJ, so enough personal details! I own a stock 2001 XJ Sport. I bought it in 2010 with 80k miles (now at 121k), and it's been my DD ever since (in addition to my Triumph Bonneville). Before that, my first car was a '92 XJ that I got in 2007 with a 3-4" lift that the PO had installed. I've only ever owned XJ's!
After about 4.5 years of driving this purdy box on wheels, I got inspired to mod my XJ and transform it into a much better looking and performing DD/adventure vehicle. I've done loads of research (neverending), and I just started buying my parts. I plan to also start a build thread, so look out for that!
I hope to learn a lot from everyone here and also contribute some helpful info where I can. Thanks for reading! Here's a bad and poorly lit picture I just took since this post without a picture would be lame.
