Hello from the Hudson Valley...

Hi all, newb here from the Hudson Valley, NY. I just bought an '89 Cherokee 2 door 5-speed with the 4.0L to be my winter driver. She's got about 120k miles on her, and is currently not running, suspect crank or cam sensor. I will investigate it tomorrow.

I'm new to XJs, but not Jeeps. I also own a '46 CJ2A, and a couple of old Chevys. Anyway, this looks like a pretty cool site with lots of useful information. Will try to get some more pics up tomorrow.

Got the XJ running today. Apparently, when the previous owner replaced the cam sensor, he indexed the distributor incorrectly when he reinstalled it, so he got frustrated and decided to sell it. $300 bucks later, the Jeep is in my driveway, reinstalled distributor correctly, and she runs great, very happy...
