Hello everyone been watching this forum for a while decided to join. This is my first Cherokee first chat sight and first forum but I have off roaded most of my life with cjs vws four wheeler and motorcycles. I honestly only bought my xj to get away from buying a side by side 3000$ is way better than 23000$ But I have come to realize I love my xj. Everytime I get one thing done I want to do more and more to the old girl. It is a 97 xj 4.0 195k 4 door I haven't had it for three months yet and I have already spent about 700$ it adds up fast lol!

Welcome! Rig looks good so far, what are the future plans for it?

Also, way to be smart and buy the Cherokee instead of the SxS. I learned the hard way by buying and building a SxS, realizing how much money I wasted, selling it and buying a Cherokee. Had I dumped the amount of money I put in my Polaris Ranger into the Cherokee there's no telling where the Jeep would be.

 

It's not factory paint original is white. door jams r still white lol. I want this to be a ride and drive it's not my dd but I still want it to be capable of running the highway just in case I need it. Most of my money spent so far has been getting everything dependable and up to date. Po did lift an tires but didn't keep up routine maintenance. I guess some get caught up with looks an not reliability.

 

I don't want to go much taller on tire an lift but I want to get better bumpers front and back. Skid plate and tree kickers hood vents and possibly a snorkel just in case.

From what po told me it come from a tractor parts store and its sprayed with ford tractor blue or empire blue my wife basically forced this xj on me because of the color best part is I can buy it in rattle can for 5$ for touch ups at the same tractor place lol
