Hello from DC / VA New XJ Owner
Hi everyone, I've been finding information on here for months and just want to say thanks for all the great info posted on here. A late model xj has been on my want list for quite some time and now I finally own one.
When I found a black 01 60th Anniversary Edition with 90K on the clock and a 1 owner, clean history, I couldn't resist any longer Its exactly what I've always wanted.
There are a few small things that need to be done to it, but overall its super clean so I am pumped.
Sorry for the crappy phone photo but its all I got for now. I'll take proper ones in due time
I live just outside DC in Alexandria VA, so if there any other members in the area would love to get to know other folks around here.

Hey thanks man, glad to be in here.
First things first, gotta go through the thing front to back and make sure its running like a top so that will take some time. Probably no crazy mods for me, at least for a while, I love the classic look of these when they are clean and mostly stock. Its going to get out in the country on the weekends for camping trips and cruising through wine country but living in the city during the week. This forum gives me plenty of ideas though

Yeah I live in Northern Virginia so the good thing is that I can be out in the "country" in 30-45 mins and Virginia is beautiful so it will be getting out of town plenty
I had a mechanic do a full inspection before I bought it and there are 2 things I need to check out asap (beyond doing the routine changing fluids, tune up, etc).
1- It runs and drives great but there are 2 stored codes when he hooked it up to his diagnostic computer. P0202 Injector circuit, its not misfiring or idling rough but I have to get that checked first.
2- There is some oil around the transmission pan. Its not getting to the ground at all but I want to see if its I can find the source of it.
Other than that and a cracked bumper end cap, its pretty good overall, and I got a good deal on it so I'm willing to put in some work.
