I've read this forum for a few months now as I searched for my first Jeep. Finally found a very clean stock UpCountry '98 Classic in Gunmetal Pearl with 165k at a dealer in Denver. Now it's time to register for the forum and start asking questions!
The jeep will primarily be used for getting into the mountains - in the summer mostly maintained Forest Service 4x4 roads with an occasional trail here or there. In the winter, I-70 or Loveland Pass to ski areas.
To-Do list:
- Dent in rear bumper
- Roof Rack
- Rear passenger electric lock - doesn't work at all
- Window lockout switch - all windows other than driver are intermittent
- Winter tires, then new tires again for the summer
- New radio/speakers
- OME 2.5" suspension kit (rear leafs seem pretty saggy to me)
- In time, a winch front bumper and spare tire carrier rear bumper.
