Default Hello

Hello from beautiful Montana! I own an 89 2 door Laredo XJ that is mildly built. I've been wrenching and wheeling on it for almost 4 years. Just thought I'd say hello to everyone.

And welcome from South Texas. Glad you're here. I love 2 doors, especially Renix era 2 doors. I guess you would say I am a Renix freak.

I love my Renix. If something's not quite right with it, all you need is a good digital multimeter and some hand tools to get it figured out. No stupid check engine lights to deal with. If I ever come across another decent 2 door Renix, I would seriously have to look at buying it and fixing it up. Then I'd have one to DD and one to wheel!

I have only had the one Renix but have owned several newer XJs and decided that I could work on my Renix so kept it Sold a 96 to a buddy who still has it hunt from and as a spare DD and a 92 that my daughter has as her sole transport while the old man(me) kept the old Jeep and still love it. At the time I bought it I needed a 4 door and found it. If I had of had any sense at all I would have bought the twin to mine that the guy had but was a 2 door. It was an 89 and had even less mileage than my 4 door but I needed to put the grand kids in and out of their car seats and the 4 door was more convenient, so I got the 4 door. That's my story and I'm sticking to it!

The Renix is a great system. Easy to work on and I have found them very reliable. The 4 door may be convenient for riders but I like the look of the 2 door, and with the size of the door, they are very convenient for the driver. If the family doesn’t want to climb in the back, they can walk or get there own damn XJ.
