Hail from the rainy state! (WA)
Well, I picked up my first heep. Guy wanted 1k for it, so I checked it out, said hell no and drove off. He calls me later and asks if I would do 700 for it, and I took it.
It ran, drove, and stopped but was sloppy all the way around with an extra helping "everything's been messed with".
However, the one thing it had going for it was that it had a professional head gasket job done with paper work and a bunch of gaskets along with the majority of a full tune up.
I present to you the $700 1989 xj larado with aw4 AT, power everything, a leaky sunroof and a floppy tilt column.
More pics to come in the build log.
Hope you enjoy my stay and learn things about what not to do to your heep.

Thanks for the welcome all!
I live around the north Seattle area currently.
It really was a good deal. It makes great power it just needs the idle smoothed out and a few other minor things taken care of.
I already did a manual fan bypass as it was going to fly off. Wired in an electric one with the aux fan and a new relay. Works amazing!
Can't wait for more and finally hitting some trails. It's gonna be a fun time!
