Greetings From Japan!
Hey guys I'm Brad from Japan. Just bought my wife a 2000 cherokee over here and it's totally stock. Kinda weird with it being right hand drive though. I'm hoping too lift it and of course wheels tires bumpers winch lockers and armor. Never had a jeep before so I'm new too it. I've had a couple of old K5 blazers though and i'm from Utah so Wheelings not new too me. Just looking for some advic and suggestions! I'm glad too be on here. Talk too ya'll soon!
Sorry no pics of the K5 they are both long gone. Ill post pics of the jeep when It's not pouring rain outside for longer than an hour.
All jeeps here in Japan are right hand drive, Except the ones people bring from the states, or buy here on base and have shipped over. It's sure a weird feeling though driving a right hand drive American car. My Silvia doesn't feel as weird as the jeep does driving on the wrong side of the road!

Gidday Brad... my '01 XJ (also right hand drive) was imported into New Zealand ex Japan. I was informed (don't know how reliable the info was) that it was produced in Europe somewhere before being sold new in the 'Land of the Rising Sun'.

Thanks everyone! Glad too be here! I'm gonna start a build thread as soon as I get things rolling. First thing I gotta do is figure out this loud thump when you stop real hard and when putting it into gear. Really hope the trans is ok! I'm thinking the first thing were gonna do is lift it and wheels and tires. My wife wants it big, but I want it still very offroad capable. I've been looking at the rough country 6.5" lift. And the Rustys off road 6". But from looking on here and other sites, most people seem too just build their lifts by mixing and matching parts from company's. Why is that? Any impute on lifts and what not would be awesome!!!!
